Grape varieties :
100 % Black Grenache. Vineyard planted in 1950 in rocky, marl soil, facing north.
Vinification :
Hand picking. Cold maceration for one weeks. Then, after Addition of pure alcohol during the fermentation, a traditional maceration is opered for three weeks. Gentle pressing. Maturing 10 months in old barrels.
Tasting :
Appearance : Deep ruby-red colour.
Nose : Intense, cocoa, candied cherries.
Palate : Intense, notes of cocoa, luscious candied cherries and blackberries. Oaky is harmonious and well rounded tannins.
Serve between 10 and 13 °C.
